Be Bold, Be Unique, Be Something Special!

Jon and Chelsea

October 16, 2017 ·

In September, I was honored to capture the beautiful wedding day of Jon and Chelsea.  Not only was this wedding unique in every way, this couple is very special to me as the bride is my cousin.  The couple choose a very organic and tranquil wedding location at Hawthorn Hallow in Racine, WI.  They kicked off their wedding weekend with a short rehearsal at the venue followed by a fun BBQ at Jon’s Aunt’s and Uncle’s house where we enjoyed burgers, brats, lawn games and laughs.

The morning of the wedding was quite calm and everything went to plan.  Chelsea walked barefoot to her anxiously awaiting groom during their morning ceremony surrounded by their immediate family.  It was a beautiful morning and you could hear the birds chirping and smell the scent of fall in the air.  After their ceremony, I was able to tour the grounds with them and take some portraits of just them before we headed for brunch.

This wedding fit this couple to a T and I was so happy to be there to be able to capture it for them.  The following week, we met up at Chelsea’s family farm and took some more pictures of them in their wedding attire as the farm holds a special place in her heart.  Even though that night was HOT, we got some amazing portraits of the couple before the sun set for the evening.

Thank you Jon and Chelsea for allowing not only myself to capture your special day, but thank you for having Cody marry you.  We were truly honored to be apart of your special day.  Congratulations and we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together!

Hello! I’m Majesta, owner of Something Special Photography. My love of photography comes from deep within me. I cherish photographs because they are a moment in time that are frozen forever. Your little miracle will never be that little ever again, your family will change each and every day, and your loved ones will one day not be here… so what will you remember them by? I take pride in what I do. I’m not selling pieces of paper, I’m capturing memories that will last a lifetime.
